ANTIQUE SCOTTISH SILK ARMORIALS

An interesting early 19th Century silk needlework panel of 2 Scottish armorials, one with the motto: “manent optima coelo” (the best remain in heaven) for the Miller (Mellir) family from Dumfriesshire, and the other with the motto: “Luceo non uro” (shine, not burn) for the MacKenzie family.
In very good condition, with general discolouration.

In its glazed giltwood frame.
