Hugely handsome 17th Century gentleman in his ruffle and gold threaded gown.
Generally good condition commensurate with its grand age, 3 repair patches to the back of the canvas, the stretcher inscribed: “From Hatfield House, Herts.”
Possibly Lombard school.
