A RARE LEAD HEADED DECOY PIGEON

A wonderful 19th Century carved fruitwood decoy in the form of a pigeon, the head unusually fashioned in lead, with original iron spike later mounted on a simulated driftwood base.
Other than a couple of splits to the back consistent with age and use, it is in fine antique condition.
