A VERY UNUSUAL MEMENTO MORI CLOCK

A very unusual most extraordinary timepiece.
A memento mori snakes and gilt bronze laurel wreath oak cased mantle clock, the black enamel dial with Roman numerals and movement striking on a bell.
Gilt bronze hands in the shape of a snake.
Height 24.5cm. Width 20cm. Depth 14.5cm
The movement appears clean and complete but has not been tested. There is no pendulum and no key. The back panel of the clock is missing.
