BUST OF THE URBINO PRINCESS BY BRUCCIANI

A rare 19th Century patinated plaster bust by Domenico Brucciani, of the Urbino Princess, one of the six daughters of the Duke of Urbino Federigo da Montefeltro and his wife Battista Sforca, whose diptych portrait is one of the most celebrated of the Italian renaissance.
from the archives at the V & A museum.
The bust presents some wear, and some historical chips which have ‘blended in’ over the years and is sold in good country house condition.
It is numbered and signed on front and back of the socle.
