FAIRGROUND LOTTO

Amazing collection of 5 coloured wicker baskets of vase form, each containing 10 balls numbered 0 to 9 matching the colour of their respective basket.

French circa 1920’s

Having never seen the like in my 50 years of trading in French decorative antiques, I am guessing these were used in a fairground as some kind of lotto game.

The striking shaped wicker baskets are still in lovely overall condition with no losses except for a little wear on the painted surfaces. All the numbered balls are present in each basket.

i am selling them individually but for decorative and display purposes it would be much nicer to buy 2 or even 3 to make a better impact, say on a long kitchen table or side table…
