Superb pawnbroker’s trade sign, diminutive form, depicting the ancient Medici balls, the typical symbol of pawn brokers and Lombard lenders.
The 3 fruitwood spheres attached to the bar by hand wrought iron uprights, the bar in original paint, with its original iron suspension chain.
A really interesting early genuine sign, with a real folk art feel.
The condition is very good , the spheres may have been touched up over the years, please see images.
Probably English , late 19th Century.
