A rare Napoleon III ladies writing table, covered in its original cerulean blue velvet, the table top adorned with a faded gold tassel fringing. The single drawer, with its rosewood veneered interior, has retained both original lock and key. Condition is extremely good commensurate with its age, fading has occurred mainly to the table top as would be expected, and can definitely be classed as genuine faded grandeur, adding to the charm warm and elegance of this scarce little desk.
To note: a little piece of veneer missing to the side of drawer interior.
